Job Summary
Reporting directly CFO, the Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing month-end close, and optimizing processes across multiple retail entities. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, experience in a multi-entity structure, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and private equity stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities.
Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure compliance with private equity reporting requirements and lender covenants.
Manage inter-company transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

Supervise and develop the existing accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Implement and refine accounting policies, internal controls, and ERP optimizations.
Drive automation and scalability in financial processes.
Audit & Tax Coordination:

Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings.
Strategic Collaboration:

Partner with FP&A, operations, and PE stakeholders to support business decisions.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Perform ad hoc projects as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (retail, multi-entity, or PE-backed a plus).
Strong technical GAAP knowledge and experience with consolidations, intercompany transactions, and controls.
Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and work cross-functionally.
Advanced ERP/system skills (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar).
A proactive, problem-solving mindset—ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
